Bracelet, Ancient Map of Sicily (GOB1)

In creating this bracelet, Cristina was inspired by an ancient map of Sicily from 1570, a very precise drawing with mountains, harbors, roads, villages and rivers. The paper beads are a depiction of this ancient map, complemented by beads of bloodstone. The cartographer was Abraham Ortelius, who wrote Theatrum Orbis Terrarum -- widely considered the first true world atlas in history. Item #GOB1
